Shadow a Music Student

The SUNY Schenectady School of Music invites high school students to spend a day shadowing a current student. Attend classes, sit in rehearsals, meet faculty, and take the opportunity to learn what it is like to study music at a nationally-accredited institution. 

Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with the Dean and faculty members of the School of Music to discuss goals and interests and tour the facilities, including the state-of-the-art Vianna-Brignola Recording Studio.

This year's Shadow a Music Student will take place on Wednesday, April 8, 2026
