High School Choral Workshop

This is a unique opportunity for high school choirs to come together and explore various aspects of choral singing under the guidance of renowned professionals. Led by our distinguished faculty and featuring multiple GRAMMY® winning conductor Charles Bruffy, this workshop promises to be an exceptional learning and performing experience.

Dates

The workshop will take place on Friday, October 20.

Registration Fee

  • $300 per school choir 
  • Deadline is October 2
  • Does not include lunch. Information on options will be communicated after October 2.

Payment upon registration is preferred but will be accepted until October 2, 2023.

 Workshop Highlights

  • Choral Masterclasses: Engage in a masterclass with guest conductor, Charles Bruffy, where directors conduct their own choir and then both students and director receive feedback.
  • Multiple Sessions: Attend sessions on various topics, including Solo Singing Masterclass, Musical Theatre Singing, Preparing NYSSMA and College Auditions, Audio Recording, Handling Performance Anxiety, Choral Warm-Ups and etc.
    • Sessions and/or lessons will be scheduled for students during the choral masterclass time slots (10:15 a.m.-12:00 p.m. & 1:00-3:00 p.m.) when their high school choir is not working with Charles Bruffy.
  • Collaborative Performances: Participate in collaborative performances with other high school choirs, showcasing the power of collective musical expression.
