Welcome to the Registrar’s Office!
The Registrar’s Office remains open both in person and virtually.
You may contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for all of your registration and verification needs. We will answer all inquiries. Please see below for more information.
Need to WITHDRAW?
Email us at email@example.com from your college email account and state that you want to withdraw from course x (whatever course you need to withdraw from). Please include your student ID number.
Want to ADD or DROP a class?
You may make your changes online with your advisors PIN if you are in a degree or certificate program. If you can’t make the change online, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your ID number, your advisor’s PIN, and the requested add or drop.
Need your ADVISOR’s PIN?
Contact your advisor directly.
Email email@example.com and someone will get back to you.
Want to order a TRANSCRIPT?
Transcripts must be ordered directly using this link. There is no additional charge for this service. If you don’t remember your ID number, you may use your social security number.
We are not able to take transcript requests in-person at this time.
Need an ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION?

If you have any forms that we need to complete, please mail them to the Registrar’s Office, SUNY Schenectady, 78 Washington Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12305. If you can scan the form, we would be happy to accept it via the email address shown above. Faxes are also welcome at 518-381-1493.
Important dates for Winter Session and Spring Semester
- General registration is going on now.
- Winter Session runs December 28-January 15.
- Spring Semester starts Monday, January 25.

- Registration for Workforce Development and Community Education classes continues on a rolling basis.

How to Register for Classes
We encourage continuing students to register via the web as early as possible for
the best course selections. Matriculated (a matriculated student is one who has applied
for and been accepted in a specific degree program through the Admissions Office)
students must meet with their advisor first (obtain your advisor PIN) before registering.

If you have previously taken courses at SUNY Schenectady and know account name and
password, you can log in to start registration.
If you do not know your account name and password, give us a call at 518-381-1348 for assistance.
If the course for which you wish to register has a prerequisite which you meet but not with an SUNY Schenectady course, please register in person and bring proof of meeting the prerequisite course(s).
To enroll, please call 518-381-1366 or stop by the Admissions Office in the Stockade Building on the main campus or e-mail email@example.com or apply here. Once you are admitted, you will receive information about advisement and registration.
If you are visiting SUNY Schenectady from another college and wish to register for a class, please contact the Registrar's Office to complete and submit a registration form. If the course for which you wish to register has a prerequisite which you meet but not with an SUNY Schenectady course, please bring proof of meeting the prerequisite course(s). New visiting students may begin registering when General Registration begins. If you have previously taken courses at SUNY Schenectady, but have not been registered for more than a year, please register in person at the Registrar's Office and reactivate your status. The Registrar's Office is located in Elston Hall, Room 212.
Auditing a course is offered on a space available basis in most courses. Online courses
are available for audit only with the permission of the instructor. Students wishing
to audit a course may come during the late registration period as indicated on the
current Academic Calendar. Auditors pay full tuition and fees.
State and County residents 60 years or older may register as a Senior Audit without a fee or tuition, only during the late registration period as indicated on the Academic Calendar, on a space available basis. Online courses are not available for Senior Audit. For more information regarding auditing, please contact the Registrar’s Office.
