Floral Embroidery

Create your own colorful, textured, embroidery garden during this two-night workshop. You will learn a variety of embroidery stitches that can be used to create everything from stems and leaves to hydrangeas, roses, daisies and even fringe moss! Open to beginners and advanced students looking to brush up on bullion stitches and blending colors in satin stitch. Students will have a chance to work on their project at home in between classes. Use graphite shading and learn the basic proportions and forms of the human head: general structure, eyes, nose, mouth, ears and hair. Students will be introduced to facial expressions. 3D models and photos will be used. Previous drawing experience is required: line and shade. Register for Drawing Portraits.

Felted Bowls

Learn how to sculpt with wool and create your own wet felted bowl during this one-night course. Using soap, water and your own two hands, you will learn how to make three dimensional forms using wool and leave with a beautiful felted bowl. The technique learned in this class can be applied to making hats, bags and even slippers! Register for Felted Bowls.

Explore the beauty of nature with the art of stained glass in this hands-on, beginner friendly class. Glass pieces will be precut and the techniques of copper foiling and soldering will be taught. Using a 6” terra cotta pot, various shades of green glass, resin, wire, and Styrofoam, you will create a plant that never needs watering. If you’ve ever wanted to learn the art of stained glass, this is the perfect class for you. No experience needed. All materials and tools will be provided. Please wear old clothes for resin work. In this hands-on class, students will embark on a sensory exploration designed to foster mindfulness and creativity. Each student will create their own personal scent to take home. They will select notes that resonate with them and chose from Base, Middle and Top notes, creating their own personal bouquet.
