ADA Scheduled Exam Procedures

What do I do if I am a student with a disability?

Registered with the office of ADA transition services for accommodations but confused about how to get started with scheduling an exam? You’re in luck! We have all the answers right here.

Step 1

  1. Fill out an ADA Testing Appointment form to schedule a date and time for your exam and email it to the Testing Center at testingcenter@sunysccc.edu. (If you have problems filling in the form, please email the information directly.)
  2. You will receive a confirmation email from the Testing Center confirming your appointment. If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so as soon as possible. You can email us at testingcenter@sunysccc.edu or call us at 518-406-0839.
  3. Make sure you make an appointment 3-5 days in advance.
  4. On the day of your exam, please show up to Elston 427, at your scheduled time. Please make sure to wear a face mask and practice proper safety protocols!

Step 2

  1. Fill out the top portion of the ADA Exam Checklist.
  2. Bring/send the checklist to your instructor so they know to drop off your exam to the Testing Center.

Step 3

  • Relax and study!

Please remember:

If you do not make an appointment with the Testing Center, or do not notify your instructor by bringing them the checklist, you may not be able to take your test in the Testing Center. 

If you attempt to make a last minute request, your instructor has the right to deny your request and you must test with your class.
