The Royal Experience is your first step on the path to success! Our mandatory orientation program is divided into two parts. The online Royal Experience (Step 1) and the in-person Royal Experience (Step 2).

Royal Experience - Step 1
- Learn what it means to be a student and to be a part of this unique and innovative community
- Become familiar with the academic and support resources available to ensure you succeed
- Gain a clearer understanding of your rights and responsibilities as a member of SUNY Schenectady
Access Step I of the Royal Experience
- Make sure you have your student ID number available. (900XXXXXX)
- You can watch the Royal Experience Online Orientation, come back to it, and use it as a reference during your time as a student at SUNY Schenectady
Royal Experience - Step 2
Fall Orienation dates will be announced soon!
- Visit campus to meet faculty, staff and students
- Get your Student ID Card and Parking Pass
- Request a Parking Pass
- Attend workshops about campus services
- Obtain last minute support from Financial Aid, IT or your success team
