Kim has taught various psychology offerings at SUNY Schenectady County Community College including Abnormal Psychology, Abnormal Psychology Honors, Behavior Change, Child Development, Developmental Psychology, Human Sexuality, Introduction to Psychology, and Social Psychology. Kim advises students in SUNY Schenectady’s A.S. and A.A.S. Human Services Programs. She contributed to the development of SUNY Schenectady's Chemical Dependency Counseling Program and to such courses as Adolescence, Human Sexuality, and Statistics for the Social Sciences. She is currently a member of the campus CARE (Campus Assessment, Response, and Evaluation Team. Kim is currently the Club Advisor for SUNY Schenectady’s Pride Alliance. As Club Advisor, she facilitates weekly club meetings, speakers, chaperones conference events, and provides lobbying opportunities. Kim is an active member of The American Psychological Association’s Division II and Division 44.
On the personal side, Kim is proprietor of Lladybug Llamas and Daylilies located in Ballston Spa and gives presentations to the community on both daylilies and llamas. She has also has served as the President, Vice-President, Regional Representative and article contributor to the New Your State Llama and Alpaca Association.
