Hey everyone. I'm Karen Smith Food Pantry coordinator. I oversee our campus food pantry, and today I'd like to show you just how simple it is to create an account order online and pick up your groceries. If you're a current student or an employee, you're eligible to place up to three orders each month. And here's a fun fact, the average retail value of one order is about a hundred dollars. To get started, you'll need to create an account.

Both include a QR code that links directly to our online ordering system, Pantry Soft. Pantry Soft is easy to use and can even be translated into 32 different languages, so it's accessible to everyone.

Once you scan the QR code, you'll choose a username and password, answer a few quick questions and confirm your account. Then you'll be ready to place your first order.

Start by selecting where you'd like to pick up, either in person called Main or from our refrigerated Smart Lockers. Next, choose the day and time that works best for you, and then browse through the available items. If you have specific dietary needs like gluten-free, low salt, halal, or kosher, you can filter your search to show only these options. Each item includes a photo, short description, and quantity limits. The inventory updates in real time, so what you see is what's in stock. Our pantry offers a wide variety of items from frozen meats, fruits and vegetables to eggs, yogurt, cheese, pantry, staples, coffee and tea, and baking supplies, and even personal care and household products like shampoo, deodorant, paper towels, and laundry detergent. When you're finished shopping, just click submit. You'll receive a confirmation email right away and a reminder text two hours before your scheduled pickup

If you selected the Smart Locker option, you'll be picking up your order on the ground level of Elston Hall near the vending machines. Let me walk you through the process.

Check out our new refrigerated and non-refrigerated food lockers. They're an easy way to pick up your food pantry order in the evenings when the food pantry is closed.

These lockers are available for any current registered student or current employee. Ordering is simple.

When you log into Pantry Soft and choose the Smart Locker option. Just like ordering in person, you'll need to choose a time and a date for pickup. Once you place your order and pick your time, you'll get a confirmation email.

Then on the day of your pickup, you'll get another email with your pickup code. When your order is ready, the pickup code will be listed at the top of your order.

Here's how it works. Tap anywhere on the kiosk screen, type in your code. The locker door will open, take out your order and close the door and hit okay on the screen to finish.
