News

Dear Students,

I hope you are doing well and successfully adapting to virtual instruction. I am reaching out to you today with a couple of important updates as we look ahead toward the conclusion of the spring semester.

The College has adopted a temporary course withdrawal policy that extends the course withdrawal date to Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. This is also the last day of final exams. Additional information about temporary policy shifts, including course withdrawal, will be emailed to you this week.

We have made the decision to postpone May Commencement due to the uncertain status of this pandemic, and the need to keep our extended campus community safe.

We will offer graduates the chance to participate in an on-campus Commencement ceremony at a later date this year. We hope to confirm the exact date soon as we have a clearer picture about this pandemic.

Graduating students will still receive their degrees and certificates as scheduled, regardless of when the in-person Commencement ceremony takes place.

The SUNY Schenectady community remains Stronger Together.

Thank you.
