Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to define the parameters for non-resident, out-of-state and international student tuition.

Policy

Chapter V - State University of New York, Subchapter D - Code of Standards and Procedures for the Administration and Operation of Community Colleges under the Program of State University of New York, Part 602 – College, Finance and Business Operations (college Operating Fund), Section 602.10 - College tuition and fees addresses full-time and part-time tuition rates for out-of-state and non-resident students.

In alignment with the Regulations of the State University of New York, the SUNY Schenectady tuition charges for out-of-state and non-resident students shall be no higher than three times, or 300%, of the College’s full-time and part-time tuition rates approved by the SUNY Schenectady Board of Trustees.

Procedures

At SUNY Schenectady, non-New York State residents and New York State residents who do not present a Certificate of Residence shall be charged a non-resident charge as outlined in the Board of Trustee’s approved tuition and fee schedule, which is approved annually.

International Students shall be charged a non-resident charge as outlined in the Board of Trustee’s approved tuition and fee schedule, which is approved annually.
