Congratulations to Schenectady High School Students In High School Business Competition

3/22/2022

The students from Schenectady High School on campus recently were so impressive! They are all students in the Introduction to Business course taught at the high school and presented their ideas in front of a panel of College and high school faculty and staff during the fourth High School Business Plan Competition. They are enrolled in the College in the High School program, earning college credits while they take courses in high school.

The inaugural competition was held at the College in 2019 and for the past two years students have competed in a virtual competition. SUNY Schenectady was pleased to welcome students back to campus for the in-person competition. Professor Matt Farron, of the SUNY Schenectady Division of Business, Criminal Justice and Law, introduced the idea for the competition and helped facilitate, along with Pam McCall, Director of College and High School Partnerships, and Nicole Peek, who teaches the course at the high school.
