Welcome to Admissions. Did you know applying for admission to SUNY Schenectady County Community College is free? Applying for admission is your first step in allowing our dedicated Admissions team to assist in preparing you for success!

Our College is unique as we are a Full Opportunity – Open Admissions College. This allows the College to admit students with a wide variety of academic backgrounds – even if you’re not a resident of Schenectady County, or you’re looking to transfer credits from another college, or you’re a first time college student. Certain Admission Requirements need to be followed, but don’t worry – our admissions office is here to help you along the way!

Through testing, counseling, tutoring services, developmental courses in reading and writing, and developmental laboratories in mathematics, the College seeks to evaluate each student as an individual and to provide appropriate courses and services.

Check out our viewbook (Issuu or PDF) and the “Tools for Success” boxes below for more information, or to apply today! If you would like to be contacted by our Admissions Office, please fill out our Learn More form.
