This month, seven students, six of whom are members of Schenectady ARC, graduated from the Introduction to Horticulture class offered through the College's Office of Workforce Development and Community Education. The class is a collaboration with the College, Schenectady ARC, and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Schenectady County.

Students enrolled in the 12-week class develop skills in floral design, safety, pest control, greenhouse management, and plant and weed identification. The skills students develop enable them to contribute to the horticulture field in a variety of settings, including landscaping, floral design, and gardening.
