Congratulations Class of 2018!

When and Where

Schenectady County Community College's 48th Commencement Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Proctors, located in downtown Schenectady.

We will be live streaming the ceremony. If you're unable to attend, check out SACC TV on May 17 at 2 p.m. to view from the comfort of home.

The following steps are intended to make the process of getting ready for Commencement easy for you:

STEP 1. Order your Cap, Hood and Gown

Candidates wishing to participate in the 2018 Commencement Ceremony, on Thursday, May 17, 2018 must stop by The College Store to complete the Cap, Hood and Gown order form. The cap and gown package costs $50 and is payable at the time you place your order. (Orders placed after March 9 will be charged an additional late fee of $15). No orders will be accepted after May 4, 2018. The store accepts cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

For more information about The College Store hours or about commencement, please go to the website at: http://fsacollegestore.com/Home.aspx.

STEP 2. Pick up the package containing your Cap, Hood and Gown, Graduation Announcements and Tickets between May 2 and May 16, 2018 in the College Store

Along with your cap, hood and gown you will receive 4 Graduation Announcements and 4 Commencement tickets. Tickets are required for any guests coming to the SCCC Commencement Ceremony on May 17. Each graduate is permitted four (4) tickets – one ticket per guest. Any announcements and tickets not picked up by close of business on May 7 will be made available to graduates needing extra tickets.

Additional announcements and tickets may be available depending on the number of graduates participating in the Commencement Ceremony. If there should be extra announcements or tickets, they will be issued on a first come, first serve basis. Stop by the College Store, during regular business hours, after May 8 to check on availability.

If you, or your guests require special accommodations for the ceremony, please contact Susanna Adams, Coordinator of ADA Transition Services by calling (518) 381-1345 or by e-mail at adamssj@sunysccc.edu.

This is the card that you will present at the Commencement Ceremony as you are preparing to cross the stage. The card will have a label on it with your full name and degree program and, if appropriate, will identify candidates with honors and high honors. If you see an error on this card, please visit the Registrar’s Office, 212 Elston Hall, quickly.
