Mechatronics (certificate)

The Mechatronics Technician Certificate is a one-year, 30 credit hour certificate that applies mechanical, electrical and computer technologies to automated ‘intelligent’ machinery. The program focuses on preparing students to assist in the design of electromechanical systems. Students will become proficient in developing system level troubleshooting skills, and installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing automated and robotically-controlled systems, equipment and component parts.

Objectives:

  • Perform basic operation and maintenance of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Design, operate, and maintain production systems commonly found in automated manufacturing environments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair automated and robotically-controlled systems and equipment.
