Papa Gueye is Professor in the Division of Business, Criminal Justice and Law at SUNY Schenectady. He teaches economics and business statistics courses, online as well in class. Papa is also a lecturer at the University at Albany and has previously taught at Union College, the College of Saint Rose and SUNY Delhi. In addition to his teaching activities, Papa has served on a range of college committees and was an active member of the Group of 200, a SUNY Strategic Planning Process.
Papa obtained a B.S. in economics from University of Dakar, Senegal, a M.S. from University of Toledo, an MBA from University at Albany, and a postgraduate degree from the Institute of Economic Development and Planning, United Nations. He was also an ABD doctoral candidate at University at Albany in economics.
He has received the Outstanding Faculty of the Year 2009, Presented by the Student Government Association, at Schenectady County Community College. He serves as advisor to the Business and Law Club at SUNY Schenectady.
Papa’s areas of interest range from economic development to the functioning of the U.S. financial system, including public policy and macroeconomic research analysis.
