After you receive your Acceptance of Admission letter in the mail, the next steps are easy to navigate! Admitted students are invited to take our placement test (some students may not need this based on their academic record) and then meet with an advisor to choose your schedule.
To take your placement tests, please visit our Testing Center located in Elston Hall, Room 427. For more information on the Testing Center, including their hours of operation and how to schedule your appointment, please click here to visit their site. The Testing Center does not decide who may or may not take the placement exam. Please seek advisement from the Office of Admissions (Stockade Building, Room 120 or by telephone at (518) 381-1366) if you have any questions about testing requirements.
Once you have taken the placement test (or if you are exempt from taking it), you can meet with an Advisor. No appointment is necessary; the advisement center sees students on a walk-in basis–this is where you’ll register for your classes. Academic Advisement is located in Elston Hall, Room 222. If you have any questions about Academic Advisement feel free to call at (518) 381-1277 or e-mail us at email@example.com.
Registered students will be invited to one our new student orientations that occur before the semester begins!
We are here to help answer any questions you may have. Contact the Admissions Office directly at (518) 381-1366 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
