GETTING PAID TO TALK: AN INTRODUCTION TO VOICEOVER

From audio books and cartoons to documentaries, commercials and more, this class will introduce you to the growing field of voiceover. Today, the range of voices hired has grown dramatically from the days of announcers. Learn what the pros look for, how to prepare, and where to find work in your area. We’ll discuss industry pros and cons and play samples from working voice professionals. In addition, you’ll have an opportunity to record a short professional script under the direction of the instructor. NOTARY PUBLIC REVIEW

This course will prepare students for the New York State Notary Public test and provide a comprehensive view of the Notary Public office. Confusing laws, concepts and procedures will be clearly explained and examples will be provided to discuss situations that a Notary Public officer is likely to encounter. Topics include avoiding conflicts of interest, maintaining professional ethics, charging proper fees, handling special situations, deferring to an attorney and minimizing legal liability. All materials will be provided. This course is taught by Steven E. Williams, a member of the American Society of Notaries as well as a practicing mobile notary, mortgage loan signing agent and New York State licensed Mortgage Loan Originator. Click here
